Riverview Lodges Ltd is based at The John Thompson Inn & Brewery and is delighted to offer the availability of six detached, self catering lodges.

Imported directly from Scandinavia, each lodge consists of a double bedroom, shower / washroom and separate living room with single sofa bed and kitchenette.

The lodges have an attractive external veranda and are furnished to the highest standards throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions:

The lodges are let out on a self catering basis. An “Unlimited Welcome Pack” is provided in each Lodge, consisting of bread; milk; butter; orange juice; assorted cereals; cereal bars; cookies; teas, coffees & sugar; jams & preserves; soap; shampoo; shower gels and emergency sewing kit.  Simply ask at the bar for additional supplies.

All guests are politely instructed to abstain from smoking whilst residing in our lodges.

Sorry, no pets.

All bookings must be made at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

The Family Rate is associated with the use of the single sofa bed. This is suitable for a single teenager or two small pre-teens. Travel cots are also available by prior request at no charge and are not subject to the Family Rate. It is usually the case that families bring their own linen for the baby cot.

Each lodge has a double bed and single sofa bed. In essence, they should be considered as a double room with a sleeping arrangement for children. Accordingly, there is a maximum legal occupancy of 4 persons and all visitors are required to sign in at the bar upon arrival. Please be advised that the lodges are not designed to sleep four adults.

All lodges are serviced prior to arrival, upon departure and one additional occasion for each week of the residency.

All lodges are identical and equally priced. Please understand that the business is generally unable to accommodate requests for stays in specific lodges until a few days prior to arrival, if at all.

Check-In time is either before 3pm or after 6pm Tuesday to Friday. Please be aware that the business is closed and locked between 3pm and 6pm on weekdays. At the weekends it is generally possible to agree a more flexible arrival time, as the business is open all day.

Check-Out time is to be no later than 11am.

Bookings:

To make a booking, use our on line booking system with the link on the Accommodation page at www.johnthompsoninn.com. Bookings not made via our on-line booking engine (telephone / e-mail / at the bar) will be subject to an additional non refundable £10 per lodge administration charge.

All amendments and cancellations must be notified via e-mail to nick@johnthompsoninn.com. 

Whilst credit / debit card details are requested at the time of booking, this is solely for security purposes and accounts should be settled at the time of arrival.

Should the booking be for more than two people, simply book for two adults on the on-line system and make a booking note detailing actual guests.

Payment:

We are able to accept payment by cash, credit / debit card or personal cheque when drawn on a UK bank up to the value supported by your cheque guarantee card. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express or Diner’s Club.

Full payment and a formal proof of photo identification will be required upon arrival.
