In 1977, the brewery opened with an inaugural beer to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II. The beers now brewed originate from the longest established micro-brewery in the country. JTS XXX 4.1% has been produced uninterrupted on site since that date.
The brewery capacity has been contracted out over the years to Lloyd's Country Beers, High Peak Brewery & Lichfield Brewery but is now utilised solely by the Head Brewer - Robert Elson - for the production of beers mailnly for sale at our licensed premises.

Two varieties of 40 pint home brew kits are also available at the bar or via post.
